New Bedford Folk Festival

NBFF 2014 logoI am so excited to return this year to the New Bedford Folk Festival in New Bedford, MA! On July 5 and 6, the beautiful historic downtown of New Bedford will host arts, crafts, and world renowned folk music on multiple stages. Featuring such folk legends as John Gorka, Chris Smither, Jonathan Edwards, and many, many (!) more, it is truly an honor to be a part of this festival.

One of my favorite aspects of performing at NBFF is the workshop component: in addition to performing two solo sets during the fest, performers also join forces into panels of 3 or 4 artists who trade songs on common themes. It’s so inspiring to sit alongside seasoned, talented performers and explore an idea, together, in song. I can’t say I’ve experienced anything quite like it! This year, the themes of my two workshops are: “Love Songs: For Better or for Worse” (featuring Cliff Eberhart, Craig Bickhardt, and Jeff Warner), and “Play the Chords of Fame: Songs to Think About” (featuring Bob Franke, Hayley Reardon, and Bill Harley).

Visit the NBFF website to get a full program, buy tickets, order a t-shirt, and more. But hurry — tickets (and the tees, I just found out) are going FAST!
