Kickstarter Campaign for my full-length album!

I am posting from gorgeous Florence, Italy (!), where I will be touring and recording a brand new, full-length album this spring! As many of you know, I have been lucky enough to travel back and forth between the States and Italia since I studied abroad there in 2008. With each trip, I have learned more about the recording process – and now I have the songs, the band, the producer, and the studio booked and at the ready to make my first full album!

Only thing is, I need YOUR kind help to make it happen. So today, I am very excited (and nervous!) to launch my Kickstarter campaign to fund this record!

What is Kickstarter, you may ask?

Kickstarter is an online pledge system that helps artists fund creative projects. An artist creates a Kickstarter profile for their project, sets a funding goal, and creates incentives for their friends, family, fans, and just plain anybody to donate to the cause. In my case, donations will get you music downloads, signed CDs, postcards from abroad, t-shirts, live performances, and maybe even some original art by yours truly!

The thing is: Kickstarter projects are time-sensitive. If you don’t reach your goal by the deadline, you get ZERO. In my case, I have exactly 30 days to raise $8,000 big ones – so even if I am at $7,999 on day 30, I get nothing (sad).

You can learn more about the project by clicking here – I’ve got an explanatory video up there, have written out the details (including a breakdown of that $8K price tag), as well as detailed what the rewards are for chipping in. So please – spread the word! Donate what you can, and become a patron of the arts – I can’t do it without Y-O-U!

Feel free to email me with any questions you have about Kickstarter, the record, or the campaign. I am extremely fortunate to have this challenge and opportunity before me, and to have the support of such great friends, family and fans – let’s make it happen!

Ciao tutti, and many, MANY thanks in advance for your support!
